My contribution
As game designer, I had my first experience in the role, working with initial tools that at first seemed unnecessary but whose purpose I came to understand over time. A large part of the role involved discarding ideas, though I eventually developed methods to identify the experience the game aimed to deliver. I contributed to the design of screens, the main character’s movements, and the enemy design.

As game developer, I built most of the game, from screen navigation and the implementation of visual and audio assets to programming the protagonist’s mechanics. On the final day, I took the initiative to create a simple boss, which turned out to be a valuable addition.

Experience and lessons learned
Monetization Strategies

I gained experience in developing sales pitches and understood the importance of effectively communicating a project; otherwise, it risks being overlooked. Video games are not only creative endeavors but also products within an industry that require visibility and engagement to succeed.
Fostering Creativity

This was my first experience participating in the creation of a video game, and I truly enjoyed the process. I had the chance to work with a flexible team that was open to new ideas, and I realized that when a project excites its participants, everyone stays motivated.
Building a Compelling Pitch

I learned that a player’s perspective on a game is very different from that of a developer, as players may not receive or interpret information in the same way it was intended. Even small changes require multiple processes, making this an important shift in perspective for me.
